NAME:                Niru Prasad, M.D., F.A.A.P., F.A.C.E.P.


Dr. Prasad is a practicing Physician for over 30 years. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics

and Emergency Medicine Fellow of American College of Emergency Physician and Academy of Pediatrics.

She is affiliated with Henry Ford Health System and St. Joesph Mercy Hospital , Pontiac. She has 

participated extensively in community outreach Projects and charitable organizations. With her 

expertise in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine, she has published numerous heath related articles

in local Newsletters, Newspapers and Medical Journals. She created her own Radio Health Talk Show

on WPOM 1460 AM and Television talk show (Community Access TV) on Channel – 15 where she invites

the  experts in the fields to talk about Preventive Medicine. Dr. Prasad has authored a book – 

‘How to keep your Child Safe and Healthy’ which is currently available at – No Cost – in 

Local Community Shelters and faith based organization. The proceeds from the sale of the book have

been donated to a Charity Organization through Orphan Medical Network International helping the

Dr. Prasad is the recipient of AMA Physician recognition award, the registry of outstanding

Professional – America’s top Pediatrician,past nominee for Blue Cross Blue Shield Angel Caring

award in 2002, 2003 and 2005.Her biography has been included in Who’s  Who America 2003 and 

Who’s Who World 2003-2004.
